The project manager has informed us that the sidewalk closure will remain in place for approximately 4 more weeks as they begin the final phase of installing new sidewalks around the perimeter of the work site.

NOTICE OF SIDEWALK DETOUR

Please be advised that sidewalk on the south side of Summit Ave from Parmley Pl to Deforest Ave in Summit will be closed due to construction. The date and duration of the project are referenced above.

A clearly marked pedestrian detour route (indicated on map) will be established and maintained by the contractor for the duration of the project. Vehicle traffic patterns should not be affected by the project but motorists should anticipate possible minor traffic disruptions in the vicinity of the work zone as well as increased pedestrian traffic at the crosswalks indicated above.

Should you have any questions, please contact the contractor during normal business hours. If any emergencies should arise, please contact your municipal Police Department.
