NOTICE OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION

Please be advised that seven intersections along the Terrill Rd corridor in Fanwood/Plainfield/Scotch Plains will be under construction. The date and duration of the project are referenced above.

The work being performed will consist of various intersection improvements, including traffic signal upgrades, improved pedestrian crossings and signage upgrades. Terrill Rd and the affected intersections will remain open while work is done, however lane restrictions may occur during various phases of the project. The work will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. weekdays weather permitting. The intersections are as follow:

  • Terrill Rd and E. Front St - Fanwood/Plainfield
  • Terrill Rd and E. Second St - Fanwood/Plainfield
  • Terrill Rd and Midway Ave/E. 3rd St - Fanwood/Plainfield
  • Terrill Rd and South Ave- Fanwood/Plainfield
  • Terrill Rd and E. Seventh St/LaGrande Ave - Fanwood/Plainfield
  • Terrill Rd and Cooper Rd - Scotch Plains
  • Raritan Rd and Martine Ave - Scotch Plains

Motorists who use the Terrill Rd Corridor are encouraged to allow extra travel time for possible delays at these intersections, especially during peak hours and are also advised to use extra caution when driving through each work zone.

The County recognizes the inconvenience that any road construction may cause and apologizes for any difficulties encountered. The County shall make every effort to have the work completed as soon as possible.
