The Union County Prosecutor’s Office and the Union County Police Department are investigating the discovery of a decomposed body that was found earlier today, said Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.
This afternoon the body was found on a wooded area owned by the county just off Springfield Avenue. A person walking a dog made the discovery and notified the police, said Romankow.
The body will be transported to the county medical examiner’s office and an autopsy will be conducted to determine a cause of death.
