ELIZABETH, N.J. -- The Union County Homicide Task Force is investigating the shooting death of a 31-year-old man who was killed in the City of Elizabeth on Monday night, said Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.
Around 11:30 p.m. on October 5, 2009 members of the Elizabeth Police Department were summoned to the 1000 block of Fairmount Avenue where they discovered the victim, Rahssan J. Holmes in the bedroom of an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the scene, said Romankow.
The Homicide Task Force continues to review and examine evidence gathered at the scene and interview potential witnesses. However, anyone with information regarding the case is encouraged to contact Det. Steven Francisco of the Homicide Task Force at 908-527-4168.
Anyone with information leading to the arrest and indictment for the person or persons responsible for the death of Rahssan J.
