A Elizabeth man was found guilty earlier this afternoon of 3rd possession of cocaine, announced Union County Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.
After a two day trial and about an hour of deliberations, a Union County Jury found Stevie Roman DOB 3/25/1981 guilty following his arrest on Sept 27, 2008, said Assistant Prosecutor Gregory Fleming, who handled the case.
Police arrested Roman near Jefferson Park after they observed him placing a bag of cocaine under a brick near a fence on the corner of Anna Street and Linden Street, said Fleming.
He faces up to five years in prison when he is sentenced on Nov. 6 before Union County Superior Court Judge James C. Heimlich. |
