The Union County Homicide Task Force is in the early stages of an investigation of a 27-year-old man who was shot and killed last night, said Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.
Just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Plainfield police responded to the intersection of East Third Street and Richmond Street on a report of an injured man. Upon arrival, they discovered Dwayne Dunn (DOB: 3/4/1982) suffering from gun shot wounds. He was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
This is an active investigation and police urge anyone with information to contact Sgt. Antonio Pino of the Homicide Task Force at (908) 527-4149. Additionally, Union County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for the death of Dwayne Dunn.
