ELIZABETH, N.J. - A Fanwood business owner who pleaded guilty in Union County Superior Court in January to multiple counts including Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Invasion of Privacy, is scheduled to be sentenced on Friday, announced Union County Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.
In all, Lee marks DOB 12/10/1952 pled guilty to 28 counts. These counts include eight counts of 2nd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 14 counts of 3rd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, six counts of 3rd degree Invasion of Privacy and one count of 4th Degree Invasion of Privacy.
All of the victims were under the age of 16 when the crimes occurred.
He faces 15 years in prison when sentenced on May 29 at 9 a.m., before Union County Superior Court Judge Stuart Peim. Sentencing is scheduled for 9am at the Union County Court House. Media wishing to bring cameras into the courtroom must call the court administrator’s office at (908) 659-4810.
He will also be subjected to a lifetime of parole after his release and will also have to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law.
Marks was first arrested on September 19, 2008, after several victims came forward. During the course of the investigation led by Fanwood Police Lt. Richard Trigo, other victims were identified and interviewed, resulting in new charges against Marks.
According to the investigation, Marks who ran a trophy making company from his garage and also ran a part-time photography business in his basement, videotaped the victims through a two way mirror set up in a dressing area and also masturbated in front of several victims while seated at his office desk. |
