During the heat of the summer, County residents can cool off close to home at one of the two swimming facilities.
Both pools, the John Russell Wheeler Memorial Pool, in Linden, and the Walter E. Ulrich Memorial Pool, in Rahway, are open to the public on a daily basis beginning in mid-June. Wheeler Pool is open until the middle of August, and the Ulrich Pool remains open until Labor Day. A daily admission fee is charged to enter either pool; no membership is necessary. |

• barrier-free bathhouse
• 50-meter swimming pool
that ranges in depth from 2 feet to 5½ feet
• 13 foot deep diving tank with a one meter
and a three meter diving board
• children's wading pool |

• main pool is 25 meters in length and ranges from 2 feet to 5½ feet deep
• the dive tank end of the pool
is 13 feet deep with both a 1 meter

| DAILY ADMISSION (ID REQUIRED) |
NOTE: Anyone entering the pools must pay admission, whether they are swimming or not.
Lack of I.D. will result in the patron paying the out-of-county admission fee.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
For safety reasons, no one will be admitted after the pools have reached their
occupant capacity.
No refunds will be given for inclement weather. |
OTHER FACILITIES |
Along with the swimming, diving and wading pools, each pool complex features a children's playground area, a full service snack bar, picnic tables and a bathhouse with rest rooms, showers, lockers and dressing rooms. |
