THE CONCEPT:

A GLOBAL FREIGHT VILLAGE is cluster of high quality buildings used for industrial, intermodal, distribution, and logistics functions.  These building are located within a secure perimeter where a range of support services are provided to tenant firms and their operations.  Global Freight Villages focus on transportation, intermodal operations, and logistics activities, and are located close to intermodal transport links, seaports, and/or airports, usually on the outskirts of metropolitan areas.  Though there may be multiple tenants in a Global Freight Village, either owning or leasing their buildings, management of operations and direction of support services is in the hands of one organization or entity.
