Holiday Shopping at Runnells Specialized Hospital |
|
Early bird “shoppers” get quality, variety and value at RUNNELLS Specialized Hospital of Union County! Be sure to stop by this exceptional Holiday Boutique sponsored by The Volunteer Guild of RUNNELLS Specialized Hospital on Thursday, November 29th. The sale will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the facility’s multi-purpose room ● Unique gift baskets for all occasions by “Baskets By Colleen” “All sales are open to the public,” said Union County Freeholder Chester Holmes, liaison to RUNNELLS SpecializedHospital. “A percentage of each purchase made at these sales is credited to the Volunteer Guild. They use all funds raised to enrich the lives of residents and patients by obtaining items that may include televisions, DVD players/VCR’s and prizes for their bingo games as well as paying for a variety of entertainment throughout the year. The Guild, which makes vendor sales possible, also sponsors a holiday party/gift distribution and a summer ice cream social in cooperation with the Berkeley Heights Lions Club. Another way to help the facility’s residents and patients and possibly yourself is to purchase a 50/50 ticket from one of the Guild members. The drawing will take place that same day about 2:30 p.m. One of the shoppers could be the winner.” The start of the holiday season is a great time to think about giving the gift of yourself to help others. The Volunteer Guild and the Office of Volunteer Services of RUNNELLS Specialized Hospital are always interested in recruiting volunteers. Flexible hours and a variety of opportunities exist with resident contact as well as performing other tasks. Anyone who would like further information should call the Office of Volunteer Services at 908-771-5847. |
