Looking ahead for holiday gifts? Come to the vendor sale of the Volunteer Guild of RUNNELLS Specialized Hospital of Union County; 40 Watchung Way, Berkeley Heights on Thursday, November 9th for the Home Products sale. The sale will be in the facility’s multi-purpose room from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The vendor will have functional household items featuring beautiful watercolor decorations. The selection will include serving trays, microfiber towels, placemats and napkins, cutting boards and trivets and gourmet oil bottles. Major credit cards and personal checks accepted.
“There is never a fee for the public to attend our sales,” said Union County Freeholder Vice Chair Bette Jane Kowalski, liaison to RUNNELLS Specialized Hospital. “A percentage of each purchase made at these sales is credited to the Volunteer Guild. They use all funds raised to enrich the lives of residents and patients by obtaining items that may include televisions, DVD players/VCR’s and prizes for their bingo games. The efforts of the Guild, which make vendor sales possible, also sponsor a holiday party/gift distribution and a summer ice cream social, in cooperation with the Berkeley Heights Lions Club.”
The Volunteer Guild and the Office of Volunteer Services of RUNNELLS Specialized Hospital are always interested in recruiting volunteers. Flexible hours and a variety of opportunities exist with resident
