Union County Sheriff Ralph Froehlich (C) congratulates Sheriff’s Officers Patrick Hyland of Garwood (L) and Gaetano Bracciale of Union on winning top awards in the 98th session of the John H. Stamler Police Academy. Office Hyland won the Patrolman Anthony Lordi Jr. Memorial Award for outstanding scholarship and leadership in the study of constitutional law. Officer Bracciale won the High Academic Achievement Award for his 95.28 final grade average. Sheriff Froehlich is holding a plaque presented to his office in honor of Officer Bracciale’s high grade.
