Information/referral; crisis intervention or direct services for people with disabilities on topics including accessibility; the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); assistive technology; education; employment; housing; independent living; law/civil rights; legal assistance; recreation/social activities; rehabilitation and transportation. The Office advances greater independence for people with disabilities through consumer advocacy, as well as administers the Personal Assistance Services Program (PASP) in Union County. Staff provides support for the Advisory Board for the Disabled (ABD), its subcommittees, and also coordinates the County’s ADA compliance efforts.
