The poster contest is held each year to promote awareness of the work accomplished throughout New Jersey's 21 counties. The New Jersey Constitutional Officers Association sponsors this poster contest called "My County".
Fourth graders, who generally study the State of New Jersey, were invited to design a poster for the contest. For future reference some of the rules are as follows:
- The poster must be on standard 22" x 28" poster board
- The name, "Union County", must be in 4-inch letters formed at the top of the poster
- The student's name, homeroom teacher and school must be printed neatly in the lower right hand corner on the back of the poster
Design and content of the poster are at the discretion of the student, although the theme of the poster must center on Union County. Special knowledge or background is not needed.
(A general guideline here would be to depict that which makes a particular county unique.)
Each of the twelve winning posters will be published in our annual poster calendar and become the property of the Constitutional Officers Association. Submission of the posters grants the Constitutional Officers Association permission to display them in public places.
Information on the 2009 contest will be posted soon. |
