Last week a Union County Grand Jury indicted a 21-year-old Newark man on Felony Murder, Robbery and Weapon charges in connection with the November 2009 homicide of a Union Township deli owner, said Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.
Daivon K. Brinson DOB: 3/15/1989 is accused in the Nov. 30, 2009 homicide of Mohinder Singh, the owner of Three Stooges Deli.
He is being held on $750,000 bail at the Union County Jail in Elizabeth.
According to the investigation, it appears that the 41-year-old Singh was the victim of an attempted robbery, said Romankow.
These criminal charges are mere accusations.
The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
