Wayne Bilal Hix, who was convicted for the April 1, 2008 stabbing death of a 51-year-old Elizabeth man, was sentenced to 15 years in prison, announced Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.
In December 2009, Hix, DOB: 3-29-83, was convicted of manslaughter, according to Assistant Prosecutor Bruce Holmes, who prosecuted the case. According to the investigation Hix and Brian Graham argued in front of the Pink Loves Styx grocery store on Third Street in Elizabeth on April 1, 2008.
During the argument, Hix fatally stabbed Graham, said Holmes. Hix was quickly identified as a suspect and surrendered to authorities a day after the crime occurred.
Hix was sentenced last Friday morning. |
