The Union County Crime Stoppers Board was established to encourage Union County residents, who might otherwise be reluctant to share first hand information they might have pertaining to criminal activity, to come forward and report that activity to law enforcement.

Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $5,000 for information resulting in the arrest and indictment of criminal offenders. Tipsters calling the twenty four hour hotline, 908-654-TIPS (8477) need not reveal their names. They are assigned identification numbers which they can later use to anonymously collect their reward.

The Union County Police, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, the Union County Chamber of Commerce and the Union County Police Chiefs' Association, are responsible for maintaining the Crime Stoppers program after normal business hours, holidays and weekends.
